We are excited to announce the 24R2.0 Release. The new capabilities delivered include:
Compass Patient & Compass Pathway
MX Payer Type and Subtype Accuracy Improvements
Compass has improved the quality of Payment Type and Payment Subtype for MX payer data. Previously, some Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid plans were over-classified as Commercial. This enhancement brings Compass more inline with the US Census.
MX Payer Hierarchy Improvements
A hierarchy has been established that maps Payment Subtype to Type for MX payer data. This affects a small percent of payer data, and will result in cleaner outputs and simpler roll-ups to Payment Types. The values for Type and Subtype will remain the same as reflected in the Data Dictionary.
New hierarchy:
| Payment Type | Payment Subtype |
|---|---|
| Assistance Program | Voucher & Copay |
| Cash | Cash |
| Commercial |
Commercial Health Plan Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Point of Service (POS) Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Workers Compensation |
| Government | Government Health Plan |
| Medicare |
Medicare Advantage Part A (Hospital Insurance) Part B (Medical Insurance) Part D (Prescription Drug Plan) |
| Medicaid | Null |
RX Payer Primary & Secondary Payer Improvements
Users will now see more granular payers in the Primary and Secondary payer fields, to provide more visibility in subsidiaries of major payers.
Example of Primary and Secondary payer improvements:
| Previously Delivered Values | Improved Values |
|---|---|
| Elevance Health |
Elevance Health Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield Freedom Health Simply Healthcare Wellpoint |
RX Payer Number of Payers Logic Improvements
The logic for Number of Payers has been improved to more accurately provide the number of payers involved in the claim. This may be greater than 2, if there were more than a primary and secondary payer involved in the claim.

You can also use this module to quickly search on and answer questions for specific HCPs of interest to support research and field activities.

This module displays HCPs treating with the selected products and as well as any relevant information, such as NPI, specialty, and location information, and their Tx and New Patient rank and volumes over the selected time frame. In addition, you can search for specific HCPs of interest by name or NPI.
You can also filter your data output by selecting a number of top HCPs and metric to filter by. For example, you can specify that you want to receive the top 1,000 HCPs by New Patient volume in your output. The Top HCPs filter can be used in combination with filtering on Prescriber Volume in order to drill down to a smaller set of top writers.
The Top HCPs module allows you to quickly view this information directly within the Portal, and apply the filter to queries - streamlining your ability to answer key business questions regarding prescriber activity.
