February 28, 2022 Release

21R3.4

We are excited to announce the 21R3.4 Release. The new capabilities delivered include:

Compass Patient

Year of Birth

Patient’s Year of birth is now available in Compass Patient. This is in addition to the attribute Age, which provides a patient’s age at time of the transaction in 5-year age brackets.

Telehealth

A new flag, Telehealth, is now available in Compass Patient. The Telehealth flag indicates that a visit was conducted virtually and is derived based on a set of codes providers use to indicate to payers the remote nature of a visit, including Place of Service, Procedure Codes, and Procedure Code Modifiers. This field can be used to support analytics such as digital marketing and operations.

Transition to OpenData Specialty for all Veeva Compass users

HCP and referring HCP specialty fields provided by Veeva OpenData are now available to all users regardless of active Veeva OpenData subscription status. To simplify the data layout, the following fields previously maintained by Veeva Compass are removed from Compass Patient:

  • HCP Specialty 1 Classification, HCP Specialty 1 Specialization
  • HCP Specialty 2 Classification, HCP Specialty 2 Specialization
  • Referring HCP Specialty 1 Classification, Referring HCP Specialty 1 Specialization
  • Referring HCP Specialty 2 Classification, Referring HCP Specialty 2 Specialization

All users can use the following Veeva OpenData maintained fields on specialties:

  • HCP Specialty 1, HCP Specialty 2
  • Referring HCP Specialty 1, Referring HCP Specialty 2

Share Recurring Jobs with Providers

Users now have the ability to share recurring jobs with their Service Providers. Service Providers are any partner, such as consulting or analytics firms, that have signed the one-time Veeva data use agreement.

To share a recurring job with a provider, click the Share icon on the row of the recurring job in Job Manager. Fill in the information on the project and click “Share”. The Service Provider will receive an alert in their Portal indicating a data set has been shared and they can choose to accept.

Once the recurring job has been shared and the Service Provider has accepted the share, each monthly job will be automatically shared with the selected recipients.
