We are excited to announce the official launch of Compass Data Platform & the Portal available for Veeva Data customers in the 21R2.5 Release

The last few releases have been focused on enabling Portal in the hands of our Veeva Compass customers. The new capabilities delivered across the last few release (21R2 - 21R2.5) include:

Compass Patient

Compass Patient data is improving the Veeva Compass stability, speed and data quality through the launch of Compass Data Platform.

Launched Compass Data Platform

  • Launched Compass Data Platform, our big data platform, to enable Compass Patient data queries to be run more quickly and deliver larger scale data deliveries
  • Enhancements focused on automation of the Compass Patient delivery process to drive quicker processes with more robust quality checks

Data Delivery to Nitro

  • Users can now select Veeva Nitro for the destination of their Compass Patient data deliverables

Product & Diagnosis Hierarchy in Code Searcher

  • Capability to search for, add, view, and review at the product level via the Product Hierarchy, in addition to NDCs. See the Branded name for the product, if it’s Branded or Generic, and any Generic or Branded Equivalents.

  • Capability to search for, add, view, and review diagnosis codes at parent diagnosis levels via the addition of the Diagnosis Hierarchy. Hierarchy supports all 5 levels of the ICD-10 hierarchy and allows users to add codes at any granularity.

Query Templates

  • Users can now build pre-set templates of products, diagnosis, and procedures to quickly create qualification criteria. Templates can be accessed by any users within a group to allow for quick additions of code sets. Templates can be applied for Compass Patient and Compass Prescriber queries.

Schema and Data Quality Enhancements

  • Charge Line Number is a new attribute added to the Compass Patient schema. See Data Governance for additional details. Charge Line Number distinguishes the distinct services that are submitted on the same claim
  • Procedure Code Description was increased in length to 300 to support more comprehensive descriptions. See Data Governance for additional details.
  • OTC drugs now have Product Name delivered in the Compass Patient, indicating the parent Brand or Generic name used by the group of NDCs

Platform

Enhanced Portal emails

  • Portal email notifications have been built to utilize a standard Veeva Compass email template and user-friendly design
